It’s Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and around this time of year everyone is talking about what they are grateful for. This is a great practice to remind ourselves of the good things in our lives when we are surrounded by family for the big dinner day. This is also time to remember that Thanksgiving isn’t the only time that we should be thinking about what we are grateful for. I believe it’s a wonderful idea to make it a daily practice, by either meditating on the things you are grateful for or writing them down each day in a journal. All of us experience some stress or bad days in our lives, so it would be handy to have this journal around on those days to remind us of the good we have around us. I have kept a gratefulness journal, would you be willing to try it?
In the meantime, here are some great YIOM posts from last week that you should definitely check out:
Wendy at Scars and all Yoga shares a very honest post about the difference between her blogger self and her real self, and the negative self talk that comes along with it. I resonated with this post and appreciate her authenticity, you might find this post enlightening as well.
Humble Yogini writes about her experience so far in Laxmi Yoga Teacher Training and details a week at the training and how much she has learned.
Keishua of The Curious World of L posts a beautiful poem about her September and welcomes October.
Om Chantress writes about Creating a Practice System for your yoga with some great tips to get started.
Yoga Betty’s most recent post is titled Yoga for Keeping Your Sh*z Sane, which has a humorous title but awesome poses to help you relax and keep that sanity!
Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian readers and bloggers and have an awesome weekend American followers!
What are you thankful for this weekend?
